What are the main reasons for innovation failures and success in education?

Failures:

1.    Resources: Innovation is the new move in education, the resources it can get would be limited.

2.    Process: In the procedure of innovation , many difficulties will come up according to different real situation.

3.    Culture: Innovation means creative actions in education. New things will be difficult for many races ,cultures to accept. Some of the innovative actions will have conflicts with the culture.

Success:

1.    Government supports: Innovation would get lots of supports by   government, such as
policy, finance, technology and labour powers.
2.    Ideological support: Nowadays  both students and teachers want and need    innovation.They are looking forwarding to the innovation and they also would like to test the innovation personally.

Analysis of the case

1.Strong ICT support:The school has the experience of carrying out ICT innovation and the innovation is aligned with the Government initiative in ICT education.
2.Great teacher-guiding:Teachers monitor students’ task progression and support team building and collaborative process of students.

3.Economic support: Get funding for schools (ICT related-other than funding for ICT infrastructure).
4.Mature environment for innovation:The school has the experience and collaborative work culture among staff which provide a good environment for innovative ICT education.
